About Us
Located in the heart of Midcoast Maine, Medomak Valley High School serves the communities of Friendship, Union, Waldoboro, Warren, and Washington. Since opening in 1968, our school has been a place where generations of students have learned, grown, and prepared for their future.
At Medomak Valley, we believe that every student deserves to be known, valued, challenged, and supported. Our responsibility extends beyond helping students earn a diploma. We are committed to preparing young people for successful lives as learners, workers, citizens, and members of their communities.
Our students have access to a wide range of opportunities including college coursework, Advanced Placement classes, career and technical education pathways, visual and performing arts, athletics, community service, and extracurricular activities. We believe that success looks different for every student, and we are committed to helping each learner discover their strengths, passions, and goals.
As a school, we value strong relationships, high expectations, and a sense of belonging. Learning thrives when students feel safe, respected, and connected. We work together to create an environment where students are encouraged to take risks, think critically, solve problems, and contribute to something larger than themselves.
We are proud to serve a community that cares deeply about its schools. The partnership between families, staff, students, and community members is essential to our success. When we work together, we create opportunities that help young people thrive and strengthen the future of our region.
Today, Medomak Valley High School is building on its proud traditions while looking toward the future. Through continuous improvement, thoughtful innovation, and a commitment to student-centered learning, we are focused on ensuring that every graduate leaves our school prepared for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Together, we are committed to building a school that reflects the values, aspirations, and pride of the communities we serve.
Every Student Known. Every Student Prepared.
