About Us
Warren Community School is a Pre-K – Grade 6 elementary school in Warren, Maine with about 380 students enrolled.
Our teachers work as district grade-level teams in professional learning communities. A guaranteed and viable curriculum is under development using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework. The Response to Intervention (RtI) process is in place to better meet students’ needs by using data to inform instruction and improve student learning. As a school and a district, we take part in regular meetings with classroom, special education teachers, and interventionists to find strategies and ways to improve instruction for students.
At Warren Community School, we strive to create values, a vision, and a mission that reflect a more humanized approach to school and learning. An approach to learning that empowers and enables students to pursue their passion and interests is our goal. We feel it is important to develop coping skills, conflict resolution, a sense of empathy, and a good work ethic to obtain educational goals.
