Snowboarding

Our snowboarding mini-course was really fun. At snowboarding Gabe will give us something to accomplish for the day and he’ll show us how to do it. Then, after he thinks we can do it on our own he will go to the next person and show them.

First we learned how to walk with one foot clicked in and the other not. Then he showed us how to turn. Turning is one of the most important things you have to do before you can go to the top of the mountain.

Most of the students are still trying to get the heel- and toe-side side slip, which is the first part of learning how to turn. Only a couple of people got to go to the top of the mountain this time.

I think it is great for some of the students to spend time together and have fun. I also think that it is great that the teacher is taking time after school to do this.

At the end of the day we will all be mad to leave but we also are happy to leave because we know that we accomplished something that day. We all think Gab is a wonderful teacher and we are happy with what he taught us about snowboarding.
