Miller School is a Pre-K-5 elementary school located in Waldoboro, Maine in a community on
the Medomak River.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe in teaching the whole child. Our curriculum holds high expectations for every student while staying centered on who our children are: curious, growing people who learn best through meaningful lessons, hands-on experiences, and positive interactions with peers and staff members. Students access our greenhouse, learn in our outdoor gathering spaces, and play on our updated playground. With two or three classes at each grade level, plus music, art, health, physical education, and a full-time school counselor and social worker, students get a well-rounded education in a school small enough that adults know every child by name.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miller is an inclusive school built to meet the needs of all learners. We house special education programming for students with disabilities, giving us a full spectrum of services and a community where every child belongs. We are growing our Multi-Tiered System of Support for wraparound academic and behavioral reinforcement, using data to identify what each student needs and providing interventions for those who require it.

We work to be a respectful school where everyone feels safe, welcome, and able to do their best. We strive to build a real community and teach our students how to be positive influences in their world; our schoolwide PBIS framework emphasizes proactive strategies and positive reinforcement. All-school assemblies bring us together to celebrate students and reinforce shared expectations.

We see families as our partners. We are proud of our active PTO, which hosts monthly events, and we are always working to strengthen family-school partnerships, because children do best when home and school work together to help our children grow.<\/p>\n\n\n
